Hussy and Kathy visit St. Petersburg, twice.
Yes, the first trip was not enough. We just had to return.
Actually, I liked the town so much that I have begun plans to move there. Cool beans !! Sprinkle our pixie dust on the Gulf coast.
Quiet, laid-back St. Pete will never be the same.

Mahaffey Theater

First we went to the Mahaffey to see "Dreamscapes". Visit the Music Box page for a feature on this show. We drove over early to walk around but needed to be dressed fancy for the show. What to do?
No worries. St. Petersburg, being a classy town, has convenient "Comfort Stations". The one pictured above was in Vinoy Park.
So we spent the day wandering around the downtown stores and the 12-year-old (that's me!) splashed around in the bay. Then we glitzed up in our own "dressing room".
Well, what do you think? Did we do good ?
It was a great day and an even better evening. So we decided to come back.

About three weeks later we wandered back. The Tampa jazz station, WSJT, does a weekly event at the Blue Martini bar. I heard Martini bar, never heard Blue.
So we went to the Martini Bar in Bayfront Plaza. Turned out to be a good thing. Nice place, very good martinis and this trio (pictured). The band is "Retro-Active" ; 80-'s hits, disco, dance music.
Do yourself a favor and check these guys out. They play all over the Tampa/St. Pete area. Great music, lots of energy and they're cute! How can you lose?
Now I just had to include a photo of the marina and add "Flipper". If you look closely behind Flipper you'll see a houseboat. Now I have always wanted to live on a houseboat. If I wasn't convinced before about relocating, that floating home sealed it. I wonder if all my computer equipment would fit ?
Well, until next trip. Toodles!!
